Tan Chee Seng Sawmill Sdn Bhd. (TCSS) has over 50 years of experience in the logging industry, with over 50% of the necessary raw materials (logs) being self-supplied. The majority of the logs supplied to TCSS are harvested from the Permanent Reserved Forest (PRF) or Hutan Simpan Kekal (HSK) in Perak. The HSK areas located in Perak have been certified under the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) / PEFC certification scheme within the Forest Management Units (FMUs).
At Tan Chee Seng Sawmill, we are also using a solar system (150kWp Rooftop Solar PV Net Energy Metering (NEM) from 2021. Our solar system is certified by Malaysian Green Technology And Climate Change Centre. It is an excellent way to reduce reliance on traditional energy sources and contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future.
The solar system generates a significant amount of renewable energy for our own use.
